Where Do We Come From?

Evolution is a popular idea that going back in time, people’s grandparents were chimpanzee-like animals, then going further back, people’s grandparents were fish, then going further back, people’s grandparents were tiny single cells. Many people believe the tiny cells came from non-living rocks, gasses or liquids that came to life.

Evolution is not true, because God’s word in the bible says that God created our grandfather Adam on the 6th day and he was created in the image of God. Adam is our great plus grandfather and the first man that was created. Then God created Adam’s wife Eve from Adam’s rib:

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 1

21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Genesis 2

We are all children of Adam and Eve, because the bible says:

And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Genesis 3:20

There are more ways to see evolution is not true. Luke chapter 3 of the bible tells us the family tree of Jesus all the way back to Adam. When we look at this detailed family tree, we can see Adam was made about 6,000 years ago. Adam was made on the 6th day, and the earth was made on the 1st day so that means the earth was also created about 6,000 years ago. 6,000 years is not enough time for evolution to take place. Another easy way to be sure evolution is false is to hear what God says about death. On the 6th day of creation, God said his creation was “very good”:

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Genesis 1:31

God considers death to be an enemy so death was not part of God’s very good creation:

The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

1 Corinthians 15:26

God says death came into the world after mankind sinned:

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned

Romans 5:12

So according to God death entered the world after the 6th day and after mankind was created. However the idea of evolution contradicts this, because if people evolved from animals, death would have been in the world before mankind, for evolution is a process of “survival of the fittest” which means “death of the weakest”. In other words, in evolution a process of death brings man into the world, but the bible says the opposite is true and that man brought death into the world. This is a complete contradiction, so we should trust God because he’s the creator who made us, he was there at the beginning, and he loves us and he does not lie.
